On Sunday, 8th of October, we traveled to Phu Ongka to join the monthly community meeting to learn more about upcoming events, new changes for the village, and voted for new roads to be built in the village. We were also given the opportunity to introduce ourselves and Sai Yok Springs to the larger community where we shared details about our products, community actions so far, and shared our ideas for community action in the future. For example, we would like to connect small farmers from Phu Ongka with partner organizations in Bangkok who can help market and distribute their produce to a wider market. We also plan to continue supporting the local temple and school. Ultimately, it was a great opportunity to meet people from the village and we will continue to attend these monthly meetings!
